AN OVERVIEW OF NUMEROLOGY
Numerology is the in-depth study of numbers. It is also
known as “the science of divining through numbers.”
A person’s numerology chart represents the “blueprint”
of who they are.
Numerology
uses intricate mathematical principles to determine a person’s
personality traits, strengths, talents, overcoming obstacles,
emotional reactions and inner qualities. By using the theory
and basis of numerology one can learn profound insights
into their true life purpose and spiritual path.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF NUMEROLOGY
The study of numerology can be traced back 10,000 years
or more to Egypt and Babylonia. Pythagoras, who developed
many of the basic theorems that form the foundation of modern
mathematics including the “Pythagorean theorem”
which is the formula for a triangle and still taught in
math classes today. Pythagoras is regarded as the founder
of the science of Geometry, and credited for being the first
person to realize that numbers are the foundation of the
universe.
The
theory of Pythagoras is that each number has a unique numerical
attribute, and by finding the vibration rate, qualities
and energies associated with it could be established. His
theory further maintained that the vibrational energy of
the universe, at the exact moment of a birth, holds a definite
influence over each person’s character and life purpose.
Pythagoras firmly believed and taught that the vibrating
energies of numbers could be used to provide both significant
and beneficial information into personality and character
attributes, and even to better understand life events, places
and things.
At
the turn of the twentieth century, an increased interest
in numerology resulted in more modern versions being placed
into existence. Today, numerology is being used by people
all over the world as a basis for understanding oneself,
for interacting with others, and as a tool to promote spiritual
growth.
APPLYING THE THEORY OF NUMEROLOGY
In applying the principles of numerology, a person’s
birth date and birth name are calculated to determine the
numerical frequency and vibratory energy associated with
the person.
The numerical frequencies are based on a “blue print”
scale of the numbers one to nine, (or eleven and twenty-two)
with each vibrational number holding a positive and negative
aspect of the associated attributes.
THE BIRTH NUMBER
The Birth Number primarily describes the overall personality
characteristics of a person. It also denotes attributes
of lessons one will encounter on the path to discovering
their life purpose.
The Birth Number is the day in which a person is born.
CALCULATING
THE BIRTH NUMBER
The Birth Number is derived from reducing the number of
the day a person is born to a single 1 - 9 digit. Unless,
the birth number is an 11 or 22 which are master numbers
and are not reduced.
Example: Dannie’s birth date is, 07/24/1904
24 is reduced by adding (2 + 4) = 6
Dannie’s Birth Number is: 6
THE
LIFE PATH NUMBER
The Life Path Number is the most important number in a numerology
reading. It describes the essence of who you are, and reflects
major influences, important events and important lessons
that you may be presented with during the course of your
life. These lessons often determine the central focus of
the life. It also describes major opportunities, challenges
and the overall characteristics of a person.
The Life Path Number is the calculated sum of the digits
in a person’s month, day and full year of birth.
CALCULATING
THE LIFE PATH NUMBER
Calculating a Life Path Number from the birth date is a
very simple process. Each number of the birth month, day
and full year are added until a single digit from 1 to 9
is reached. In advanced numerology, the exception is if
the end number is an 11 or 22. The 11 and 22 are not reduced
further to become a single digit, and are known as Master
Numbers.
Example: Rhea’s birth date is, 08/11/1963
8 + 1 + 1 +1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 29
29 is then reduced by adding (2 + 9) = 11
Rhea’s
Life Path Number is: 11
Note:
Some numerologists still prefer to reduce all ending numbers
to a single digit, including the 11 and 22 Master Numbers.
If this is the case, the 11 would be reduced by adding (1
+ 1) which results in the Life Path Number being 2.
THE BIRTH NAME NUMBER
In numerology, the letters in people’s names are assigned
to a number using the “Pythagorean Number System.”
The numbers are then added together, and reduced to give
the end resulting number frequency associated with the exact
“Birth Name” of a person.
This equation is used in determining an in overall character
analysis of a person from their birth name.
CALCULATING THE BIRTH NAME NUMBER
Calculating the Birth Name Number from is a very simple
process. Using the exact name on your birth certificate,
and the Pythagorean Number System Guide, a number is assigned
to each letter of the name, all of the numbers are then
added and reduced until a single digit from 1 to 9 is reached.
In advanced numerology, the exception is if the end number
is an 11 or 22. The 11 and 22 are not reduced further to
become a single digit, and are known as Master Numbers.
Note: Some numerologists still prefer to reduce
all ending numbers to a single digit, including the 11 and
22 Master Numbers. If this is the case, the 11 would be
reduced by adding (1 + 1) which results in the Birth Name
Number being 2, and 22 would be reduced by adding (2 + 2)
which results in the Birth Name Number being 4.

86 is then reduced by adding (8 + 6) = 14
14 is then reduced by adding (1 + 4) = 5

Now,
that we have an understanding of how the Birth, Life Path,
and Birth Name are calculated into numbers, we can take the
next step and see what the numbers mean...
The
numbers one (1) through nine (9) represent the overall “blueprint”

THE MASTER NUMBERS
There are two double digit numbers that, while they are
rooted in the single digit numbers, require special attention
and emphasis. These are the numbers 11 and 22. They are
called Master Numbers.
The Master Numbers are numbers which are considered to contain
higher frequencies of energy. People who have these numbers
must learn maturity in all senses of the word in order to
integrate the highly charged energy symbolism into their
personality. In other words, the Master Numbers represent
people who have the potential - when used in accordance
with their divine plan - to inspire others and to help heal
our world.
Master
Number 11:
Keywords: illumination, intuitive, spiritual channel,
healer, teacher; nervous tension.
The 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It represents
illumination, a channel to the subconscious, insight without
rational thought, and sensitivity, nervous energy, shyness
and impracticality. It is a dreamer. The 11 has all aspects
of the 2, enhanced and charged with charisma, leadership
and inspiration. It is a number with inborn duality, which
creates dynamism, and inner conflict with its mere presence.
It is a number that, when not focused on a goal beyond itself,
can sometimes create inner fears or phobias. The 11 walks
the edge between greatness and self-destruction. Its potential
for growth, stability and personal power lies in its acceptance
of intuitive understanding and of spiritual truths. For
the 11, such peace is not found so much in logic, but in
faith. It is automatically attuned to the unconscious realms
and is known as the psychic’s number. Once it becomes
comfortable with its special gifts, it will serve as the
spiritual channel between the physical and spiritual worlds.
The 11 can also have nervous tension due to the high energy
frequency of its number.
Note:
Those who have the Master Number 11 should also study the
Number 2 for the characteristics of the reduced form of
11. Master Number 11's should also recognize the Number
1 due to the “double 1" energy it symbolizes.
In other words, people with the Master Number 11 have a
lot of inner work to do to accomplish their true destiny
and life purpose!
Master Number 22:
Keywords: master builder, power, spiritual understanding,
high ideals; manipulative.
The 22 is the most powerful of all the numbers. It is often
called the Master Builder. The 22 can turn the most ambitious
of dreams into reality. It has many of the inspirational
and intuitive insights of the 11, combined with the practicality
and methodical nature of the four. It is unlimited, yet
disciplined. It sees the archetype and brings it down to
earth in some material form. It has big ideas, great plans,
idealism, leadership and enormous self-confidence. If not
practical, 22’s waste their potential. Like the 11,
the 22 can easily shrink from its own ambition, causing
difficult interior pressures. Both the 11 and 22 experience
their high energy frequency effect very strongly. It must
work toward the realization of goals that are larger than
the personal ambition. The 22 serves the world in a practical
way. Its great ambition may also drive it to become over-controlling
or even manipulative.
Note:
Those who have the Master Number 22 should also study the
Number 4 for the characteristics of the reduced form of
22. Master Number 22's should also recognize the Number
2 due to the “double 2" energy it symbolizes.
And, like the Master Number 11, people with the Master Number
22 also have a lot of inner work to do to accomplish their
true destiny and life purpose!
SIGNIFICANCE
OF THE NUMBER “ZERO”
Ancient studies revealed that people with a zero either
in their Birth Number or Life Path Number (prior to being
reduced) the innate ability of inner guidance and spiritual
intuitiveness. People with the zero often have an inner
calmness and use it as a guide for assisting themselves
and others toward their life purpose. The zero also represents
the qualities of motivation, supportiveness and encouragement.
All of which are wonderful attributes in helping others
find their way.

The Divine Messages
Our Angels and Spirit Guides often use numbers and number
sequences to communicate divine messages to us. These profound
messages come in the form of numbers we are repeatedly confronted
with, and which appear on clocks, license plates, sale receipts,
billboards and a multitude of other places.
The
“Divine Messages” we receive through numbers
usually occur during a specific period, time frame or cycle
associated with a lesson we are encountering. They are also
often the result of a spiritual awakening or prayer confirmation.
